7-Mar-98: Left wing mounted on jig. The quick-build wings look almost complete. Still one skin to deal with - not prepunched. Also, the flap & aileron mounting structures, gap seals & wing tips to be done.

23-May-98: One wing on the jig, the other in the wheeled wing rack. The rack is ideal for storage, working on wingtips etc.

23-May-98: Dimpling one of the top wing skins with the Avery tool.

5-Sep-98: Mounting structure for Navaid servo in right wing. This was done from pictures & drawings - hopefully close enough to make it work when the servo arrives.

31-Oct-98: Wing tip showing nutplates & tip rib. The #4 screws & nutplate kit from Cleaveland Tool was used to make the tips removable to service the strobe power supplies & landing/taxi lights.

31-Oct-98: Testing the fuel tanks for leaks after installing level senders. The balloons stayed inflated for a couple of weeks.

22-Nov-98: Aeroflash wing tip light modules fitted, wired & tested.

28-Feb-00: Navaid servo fitted in right wing with the pushrod connecting to the bell-crank. Installation was challenging, even with the tray already built before the wing was closed.

27-Apr-00: Flap hinges safetied with .041 wire through a 1/16" hole in the flap brace.
