Eagle Neck Airpark, near Savannah, Georgia

We purchased a house at Eagle Neck in 2004.

The Airpark is in south-eastern Georgia on the coastal salt marshes, about 30 miles south of Savannah. There are 80 lots with just under 30 houses built. It has a number of community amenities including a boat dock on the creek, a swimming pool, & a tennis court.

The house backs onto the salt marshes. There's a navigable creek about 150 ft out, which leads to the Newport River, then the Atlantic.

Until the hangar was built, the 6A was tied down on ramps just off the driveway.

The house is a Southern style cottage, with cedar siding & a metal roof. The lot is just over an acre, with several old Live Oaks dripping with Spanish Moss. The lots on either side do not yet have houses built.

Some interior views.

The runway is paved with pilot controlled lighting (123.0), 3750 ft x 45 ft.
